1. Contractual Relationship
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access or use of the applications, websites, content, products, and services made available by JORIDE (THAILAND) LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as "Joride", "we", "us", or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our services. By accessing or using the services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the services.
2. The Services
The Joride platform is a technology platform that enables users (Passengers) to arrange and schedule transportation services with independent third-party providers (Drivers) under agreement with Joride.
Please Note: JORIDE (THAILAND) LIMITED does not provide transportation services. The actual transportation services are provided by independent third-party drivers who are not employees or agents of Joride.
3. User Accounts & Eligibility
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to register for and use a passenger account. Driver applicants must meet the legal driving age and licensing requirements in Thailand.
- Account Security: You agree to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date account information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account username and password.
- Permitted Use: You may not authorize third parties to use your account. You agree to comply with all applicable laws when using the services.
4. Payments & Fees
Use of the services will result in charges to you for the services you receive from the Driver ("Charges").
- Fare Calculation: Fares are calculated upfront and displayed in the app before booking, based on distance, traffic, and demand. Tolls, parking fees, and local taxes may be added to the final fare.
- Payment Methods: Joride supports cash payment, credit/debit cards, and authorized digital wallets in Thailand.
- Cancellation Fees: You may be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel a ride request after a driver has already accepted and proceeded to the pickup point.
5. Rules of Conduct & Safety
To ensure a safe environment for everyone, you agree that you will not:
- Behave aggressively, disrespectfully, or inappropriately towards drivers or other passengers.
- Damage or soil the driver’s vehicle. Cleaning/damage fees may be applied if a passenger is responsible for damage to a driver's vehicle.
- Carry illegal substances, hazardous materials, or illegal weapons during the ride.
6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The services are provided "as is" and "as available." Joride disclaims all representations and warranties, express, implied, or statutory, not expressly set out in these terms.
Joride shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage related to, in connection with, or otherwise resulting from any use of the services.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be settled by the competent courts of Thailand.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to immediately terminate or suspend your account and access to the Joride platform at any time, without prior notice, if you violate any provision of these Terms or engage in conduct that we deem harmful to the platform or other users.
